General Questions

Q. What is the Boot Scootin’ Boogie?
A. The Boot Scootin’ Boogie, also known as “The Boot,” is our single largest fundraiser for Larkspur Elementary School. We raise an average of $40,000 to $50,000 at this event, which is usually held on a Saturday in April.

This adult-only evening features a catered dinner, drinks and cocktails, an extravagant dessert bar, a silent auction, a live auction and dancing all held in a uniquely Colorado western setting. The silent auction offers items for everyone, including one-of-a-kind classroom keepsakes. The live auction consists of amazing “baskets” assembled by each class. Some examples of prior live auction items include vacations packages, hunting and fishing excursions, tickets to sporting events, and Colorado adventure packages for the whole family to enjoy!

Q. What does admission include?
A. Admission includes a catered dinner, drinks and cocktails, a one-of-a-kind dessert bar, a silent auction, a live auction and dancing, all held in a uniquely Colorado western setting.

Q: Where do I purchase tickets for the Boot Scootin’ Boogie?
A:Online at  www.larkspurboot.org  or at Larkspur Elementary School. Ticket sales begin on March 14, 2013. Order Forms will be available after March 14th  in the lobby of Larkspur Elementary School. The same information is available on this website.

Q: Can I purchase tickets at the door?
A: No. Tickets must be purchased in advance.

Q: Can anyone attend the Boot Scootin’ Boogie?
A: Yes. This event is one of the LES PTO’s main fundraisers and it is open to the community. You do not have to have a child or grandchild at the school. Gather your neighbors and friends and make a special night of it. All attendees, however, must be over the age of 21.

Q. Approximately how many people attend and is there a seating plan?
A. Attendance each year varies but in some years we have hosted as many as 600 or as few as 350. If you or your company sponsor the event there is reserved seating. Otherwise, seating is first come, first available.

Event Day Questions

Q: Where do I park?
A: Parking is right outside of the barn. Jay’s Valet will be providing valet service again this year. If you choose to valet your vehicle, please pull up to the front door of the barn.

Q: Do I have to use the valet service?
A: For the 3rd year, Jay’s Valet has donated this service for our event. While you are not required to use this service, it is available to everyone at no charge (although tips are appreciated).

Q: What is the attire?
A: Attire for the Boot Scootin’ Boogie is casual. Some people wear western-style clothing - jeans, cowboy boots, and cowboy hats! Have fun with whatever you decide to wear!  But remember the arena has a dirt floor so plan appropriate footwear.
